Last weekend saw us preparing for more parties, a garden party in a marquee with cream jugs and a 25th Wedding celebration. The brief for that was 'citrus' colours and I think we got it right!
I also wanted to share these lovely peonies, there really are some stunners around this year.
We have more weddings this weekend and a wedding fair at Blackstock Farm on Sunday so I must be armed with my camera - to be continued!
A week on and here I am. Following on from an earlier tweet of jugs, jugs and more jugs as this weekends wedding and Summer Ball both chose jugs for their table flowers. The wedding had a beach theme with blues and creams and pebbles for place names and the Ball - Summer - wishful thinking!
Lots has been going on with wedding fairs, weddings and the day to day running of the shop. Time has slipped by and this blog left behind so below is a snap shot of what we have been upto:

We are now fairly up to date and long may it stay that way, weekly blogs from now on - yer right!
Success! I have been struggling to find out why the browse button no longer popped up to enable me to insert images from my computer, I've just found it so here are a couple of recent images of spring flowers.
Happy New Year! There is something very refreshing about clearing the decks after Christmas, having a tidy and change round, not to mention the lovely new seasons flowers; hyacinths, narcissus, mimosa, genister, tulips and anemones to name a few.
As soon as Christmas is over we are on to Wedding Fair season starting with Sunday 13th January at Blackstock Barn so if you are a bride looking for ideas do come along.
This is a great time to get organised for Christmas, order your wreath and any other festive floral delights or come to one of our workshops and create your own! But hurry dates are going fast - still available Tuesday 4th December 7.30 - 9.30pm and Wednesday 5th December 1.30 - 3.30pm - £45 all materials supplied plus refreshments.
I will be adding photos as we create more designs as we have a number of fairs coming up, first being Hospice in the Weald this Friday.
It has been interesting this year to see so many fairly 'last minute' brides. I have had a number of consultations recently with weddings at the end of this month, May, June and July. I like it and infact our own wedding was organised in three months, once we decided to take the plunge we booked it to coinside with a summer holiday we had already booked. It may be something to do with the economy, uncertainty in what could happen in 12, 18 months time. The main thing is people are still getting married and many making their weddings very personnel by doing some aspects themselves.
Below are couple of image from the most recent wedding we did:
