And for now that's it, a taster of some of 2014's weddings, what will we find to be popular in 2015? So far enquiries are for the relaxed, informal style of flowers but colours, they vary from muted pastels, a real mix to blues, reds, you name it, anything goes!

November & December Weddings

November & December Weddings

And so to the end of 2014; we had 2 lovely weddings in November both at the George in Rye and each very different. Jodie and Zac went for a 'Gatsby' inspired affair, very elegant with whites, silver the men in black tie:

The table flowers

December arrived and we had 3 weddings, firstly on a bright crisp day in Tunbridge Wells, Lauren and went seasonal with reds, berries and ivy.

The weekend before Christmas saw us return to The George for Emily and who went winter whites including hellebors and jasmine and a touch of silver on the tables.

There were 5 bridesmaids so they became half of the table centres along with silver candelabras 0n the rest. The mantles were dressed with gyposphila and candles.

And then between Christmas and New Year Stella and Steve tied the knot at the Barn in Tunbridge Wells and had a gold and silver theme with yellow roses. They had some brilliant photo's at Calverly Park Ice Rink.

And the cake

2014 was quite a year! At the start I looked at what were the trends and I'd say one thing was that people were more inclined to go out of season and not always on the tradional days as we had Monday and Thursday weddings along with Sundays being increasingly popular. A spread throughout the year suits me.

October Weddings

A lovely relaxed wedding at The Royal Wells in Tunbridge Wells with a book theme for the tables and 'vintage' pinks for the bride. Here are my snap shots, you will be able to spot the difference when I post the photographers!

And here they are courtesey of Sarah and Simon Wedding Photography, now you can see the book theme!

Later in the month saw us back at Finchcocks Oast, such a great venue for the smaller wedding as the whole place is yours to do what you will, within reason of course. Tamsin went for a fairy tale theme with tables inspired by Bramble Hedge, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan.

We had a bouquet to do for the daughter of a regular customer who had an intimate wedding at the end of October with lovely Grand Prix roses, Brunia, Dennis Bowden mimosa and lisianthus.

Another month ends but still more next month.

September Weddings

The beginning of the month saw a homespun wedding with soft pastels including astilbe, stocks, roses and gyp.

And then a 'meadow' inspired wedding with a hint of Scotland. Alice and Ewan have been beautifully photographed by Jacqui of Jacqui McSweeny Photography based in Brighton:

Following on was another blue based wedding with blue hydrangeas , thistle, lavender, veronica and ivory roses, not forgetting the cabbages in the table arrangements! All this in the lovely setting of Swallows Oast.

Back to The George in Rye for Maddies cream and green wedding with bridesmaids dresses in 'limeade' - such a apt description. Here are some photo's I took and I'll post the professionals in a round up post.

August Weddings

We started off with two purple weddings, one at The Royal Wells Hotel and the other at Mountains Country House in a marquee. The latter wanted impact and went for large martini vases.

Blue has been very popular this year as have hydrangeas with the next two weddings featuring both. The first we provided Church and bridal flowers.

The other was the whole chabang at the lovely George in Rye and my everything looks picture perfect!

We then saw creams and whites back at the Royal Wells with roses playing a key role.

This was a busy month with us then providing all flowers for a wedding at Blackstock Barn. This time it was soft peaches, with a hint of burnt oranges and 'silver' vases.

And the brides bouquet had David Austin and avalanche roses with astilbe, stocks, lisi and the wounderful 'green bell'

We were then back to The George for a nice country pastel mix.

We finished up with another blue themed wedding in a Church and then marquee, here are Sarah and Dan:

And a vase in the marquee:

So that was a taste of August, I say taste as we had more weddings but I either forgot to take pictures (a common error on my part) or I have not got any professional shots from the bride or photographer but will post as and when!

And so on to September.
